However, for some celebrities, whose bread and butter depends on how good they look on screen, beauty treatments and skincare routines can get a little bizarre.
We know of several female celebrities who go for some really outlandish treatments – bee sting therapy, semen facials etc., which are just some of the stuff that tabloid newspapers and magazines all over the world have told us about.
However, you would be mistaken if you thought only women went for the bizarre stuff, though.
A lot of our favourite male celebrities too, partake in some really weird and bizarre practices to look A+ in front of their audiences. Here, we list a few of them:
1. David Beckham – Botox & Snake Venom
David Beckham has confessed that he loves to use Victoria Beckham’s moisturisers and skincare products.
Although we wouldn’t advise anyone else to do that, mainly because of formulations and how the male skin absorbs stuff, we don’t really see a problem in men using products that are marketed for women.
The football legend turns things up a notch though. He is said to regularly go for botox treatments, which he then supplements with a treatment where snake venom is carefully injected into his skin. Now that’s just weird, not to mention downright dangerous.
2. Justin Bieber – Blood Plasma Infused Moisturisers
Yup, the Canadian singer, and possibly one of the most popular artists of our times, is a fan of a number of beauty treatments. In fact, he often goes out with his family for manicures and pedicures.
However, one bizarre trend that he once tried, was that of using moisturisers that were infused with plasma from his own blood. Apparently, it was his wife, Hailey Baldwin who turned him onto this idea.
3. Chris Pratt – Several “Exotic” Facials
Star-Lord seems exactly like the kind of guy who would go for some really exotic facials. And Chris Pratt certainly does. Apparently, he has tried out a number of really exotic stuff, some of which most men would simply shy away from.
He has dabbled with exotic fruits, animal excrement, saliva, and whatnot. Now, although he tried most of them just out of fun, it just goes on to show how cool Pratt is, as a guy.
4. Drake – Diamond Dust Toothpaste
Drake is someone who takes his grooming and skincare very seriously. Like most rappers, he has invested in a tonne of luxury skincare products. However, it is actually his dental grooming routine that sets him apart from the rest.
Apparently, he has a pink diamond in one of his teeth. Therefore, he decided it would be best if he used toothpaste that has diamond dust in it.
Yup, Drake uses toothpaste that has real diamonds, crushed and mixed into them. Talk about the ultra-rich going bonkers!
5. Ryan Seacrest – Sheep Placenta Masks
Ryan Seacrest has a surprisingly-significant fan following in India, despite being an American television host. He also has the most bizarre treatment on our list.
He not only uses masks made using sheep placenta, he has also used serums and creams that used sheep placenta, for his under eyes.

6. Tom Cruise – Nightingale Excrement Facials
Tom Cruise is one of the most eccentric actors in Hollywood. So eccentric, in fact, that the man borders on weird. With that being said, we cannot deny that he is one of the most good looking actors we have ever had.
Now, apparently, Cruise doesn’t go for botox. Rather, he prefers fillers. That is not the interesting part, though. The interesting this is, he also goes for facials that use the excrement from nightingales.
Yup, Tom Cruise, the actor on whom a lot of men have had man-crushes, goes for bird-poop facials.
7. Brad Pitt – Botox, Collagen Smoothies & Antiaging IV Vitamin Drips
Brad Pitt has had issues with his acne and acne scars for a long time. While with age, the signs of acne and acne scars should have been more prominent, however, we don’t see any such thing on his face.
The reason? Well, he religiously follows an “antiaging diet,” goes for botox treatments when needed, has collagen smoothies regularly, and hooks himself up to antiaging IV vitamin drips.
Now, that’s going into deeper and more serious territory.
